On the other hand, genetics is a specialized branch of science that deals with the study of genes, genetic variation and the pathophysiological implications of the intentional and spontaneous genetic mutations. The combined study of genetics and molecular biology involves in depth analysis of the various biochemical and molecular biological factors that determine heredity of genes and health implications of abnormal hereditary patterns of specific genes.
http://medicalresearch.be/index.php/jbg/article/view/3 Exploring links between antisense RNAs and pathogenesis 2022-02-04T09:40:22+00:00 Dr. Michel holder prajapatyg@gmail.com
Biotrophic basidiomycete plant pathogens cause billions of dollars in losses to cereal crops annually. The model for this group of fungi is the corn smut pathogen Ustilago maydis. Annotation of its genome identified antisense RNAs (asRNAs) complementary to over half of the coded mRNAs, some of which are present at high levels in teliospores but detected at very low levels or not at all in other cell types, suggesting they have a function in the teliospore or during teliospore formation.
2022-02-04T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 http://medicalresearch.be/index.php/jbg/article/view/4 Madm (Mlf1 adapter molecule) cooperates with Bunched 2022-02-04T10:00:40+00:00 Angelika Daniel prajapatyg@gmail.com
Daphnia pulex is the first crustacean to have its genome sequenced. Availability of the genome sequence will have implications for research in aquatic ecology and evolution in particular, as addressed by a series of papers published recently in BMC Evolutionary Biology and BMC Genomics. The TSC-22 domain family (TSC22DF) consists of putative transcription factors harboring a DNA-binding TSC-box and an adjacent leucine zipper at their carboxyl termini. Both short and long TSC22DF isoforms are conserved from flies to humans. Whereas the short isoforms include the tumor suppressor TSC-22 (Transforming growth factor-β1 stimulated clone-22), the long isoforms are largely uncharacterized. In Drosophila, the long isoform Bunched A (BunA) acts as a growth promoter, but how BunA controls growth has remained obscure.
2022-02-04T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022
