Cross-sectional evaluation of influence guideline-based care of geriatric fall patients Michael Crawley

Abstract

Overutilization of the Accident and Emergency Department is study aimed to assess the triage accuracy of online symptom checkers, which would help determine the potential roles of symptom checkers in an Accident and Emergency Department setting. The research was conducted via web survey with the ambulance staff. The sampling size was 143 ambulance workers who participate in this study. A 30-item questionnaire and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) were used to collect data. This study aimed to assess the pattern of use of EDs, factors contributing to the visits, geographical distribution and outcomes in people aged 65 years or older to a large hospital in Dublin. Health planning at a regional level should account for the significant number of older patients attending EDs. The use of GIS for health planning in particular can assist hospitals to improve their understanding of the origin of the cohort of older ED patients.
