Abstract
Depression was defined as a PHQ-2 score ≥3. The main composite outcome was death from any cause or hospitalization due to worsening HF. PHQ-2 items were extracted from the PHQ-9 results. To evaluate the association of PHQ-2 scores with outcomes, Cox proportional hazards models were evaluated The present study was carried out to evaluate the anti-arthritic nature of evening primrose oil (EPO) rich in -linolenic acid (GLA), on adjuvant -induced arthritic rats. Results were compared to those of diclofenac sodium, a reference standard non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The performance of these discriminants was independent of the cancer stage. This study revealed significant differences in plasma amino acid profiles between cancer patients and controls. The development of a cancer alters plasma amino-acid profiles without cachexia or weight loss, and the pattern maintained levels similar to that of the control group in both infected groups. The levels of the hormones tested also showed significant changes, manifested as significantly (p < 0.05) lower values in both groups of patients compared to the control group for the testosterone hormone.
