Dermatologists are physicians who treat adult and pediatric patients with disorders of the skin, hair, nails, and adjacent mucous membranes. They diagnose everything from skin cancer, tumors, inflammatory diseases of the skin, and infectious diseases. They also perform skin biopsies and dermatological surgical procedures.

Subspecialties within the dermatology field include the following:

• Dermatopathology
• Pediatric dermatology
• Procedural dermatology
en-USJournal of DermatologyLow PD-1 expression and sonic hedgehog expression in a NF-κB-independent manner

The problem becomes compounded in idiopathic NHU of the legs. Various approaches, including skin grafting have been used with variable results. We describe for the first time, the use of the Jodhpur Technique, our innovation synonymous with autologous non-cultured non-trypsinised keratinocyte and melanocyte grafting to attempt healing of a chronic NHU over the lower leg of a 52-year old man with treated leprosy. There is an urgent need for other investigators, especially Pediatric Dermatologists to document and generate more evidence on the epidemiology and clinical presentation of acquired variants of PPK in children.
Quintella Villafuerte*

Sixty patients were recruited, and 30 patients were randomized to each treatment arm. There were no significant differences in post treatment scores (p value=0.221). Effective cure, defined as the combination of marked clinical improvement and mycological cure, was seen in 20/30 (66.67%) in the neem seed extract group and 24/30 (80%) in the clotrimazole group (relative risk = 1.67, 95% confidence interval = 0.69 – 4.0). Post treatment overall satisfaction scores were comparable (p value = 0.333). Two patients experienced adverse effects in the neem seed extract group, while there were no adverse effects in the clotrimazole group. The in vitro inhibitory effect of CML on wound healing of dermal papilla cells (DPC) suggested that the mechanism influences the proliferation and migration of DPC, which are essential for HF morphogenesis. In addition, CML in DPC inhibited the expression of sonic hedgehog (Shh), a factor of tissue morphogenesis, in a NF-kB-independent manner. The findings suggest that the delay in HF formation was due to CML inhibiting proliferation and migration in DPC by inhibiting Shh expression.
Mohammad sajid *
