Through microscopic examination and clinical lab tests, pathologists work to diagnose, monitor, and treat diseases. They examine tissues, cells, and body fluids, applying biological, chemical, and physical sciences within the laboratory. They may examine tissues to determine whether an organ transplant is needed, or they may examine the blood of a pregnant woman to ensure the health of the fetus.

Pathology umbrellas several areas of subspecialty within the field, including the following:

• Anatomical pathology
• Blood banking and transfusion medicine
• Chemical pathology
• Clinical pathology
• Cytopathology
• Forensic pathology
• Genetic pathology
• Hematology
• Immunopathology
• Medical microbiology
• Molecular pathology
• Neuropathology
• Pediatric pathology
https://medicalresearch.be/index.php/jp/article/view/44A Clinic pathological Study of 3 Cases with Review of Additional of the Diagnosis of Pediatric Brain Tumors2022-02-06T07:18:29+00:00Tom rew*jasoninglis14@gmail.com
This prospective cross sectional study enrolled 109 cases of skin biopsies after histopathological confirmation of granulomatous lesions. The specimens were received at the Department of Pathology from 14th April 2017 to 13th April 2018. Hair direct immunofluorescence was positive in 13 (81.25%) patients and skin direct immunofluorescence was also positive in 13 patients (81.25%) Preclampsia is associated with liver function abnormalities and renal function impairment. The objective of this study is to compare serum uric acid, glucose, calcium and magnesium in preclampsia with normal pregnancy. A subset of breast carcinomas harbors overexpression of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) should be performed in breast carcinomas with equivocal HER2 immunostaining (immunohistochemistry [IHC] HER2 2+). The aim of our study is to investigate clinicopathologic factors associated with HER2 status in breast invasive carcinomas with IHC HER2 2+ through FISH analysis. Methods. This is a retrospective study including the FISH analysis of 111 patients with invasive breast carcinomas with equivocal HER2 immunostaining.
2022-01-28T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2022 https://medicalresearch.be/index.php/jp/article/view/45Are Clinicopathological Features and Nomograms Accurate in the Resection Margins of Breast Cancer Specimens2022-02-06T07:19:38+00:00Bethell Luuxton*jasoninglis14@gmail.com
Schwannian-derived specialized mechanosensors found in glabrous skin and some mucosal sites. TCLBs are not a normal component of gastrointestinal mucosa but they have been reported in the esophagus, stomach, gastroesophageal junction, and colorectum. Twenty-two cases of tactile corpuscle-like bodies (TCLBs) have been reported to date in the English literature. We herein present five additional cases of TCLBs, all within the colorectum rimary pancreatic hepatoid carcinoma (PHC) is very rare. Here, we reported 3 such cases with review of additional 31 cases in the literature. Our 3 patients were male (83, 72, and 54 years old, respectively). Serum α-fetoprotein (AFP) was elevated in 1 patient (case 3, 8338 ng/mL) and not measured in the other two. The PHC in patient 1 (pathological stage pT2N0M0) and patient 2 (pT3N0M0) showed pure hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)-like morphology, whereas in case 3 it was a PHC with true glandular differentiation (pT4N0M0) Using paraffin-embedded tissues of 31 epithelioid MPMs, we investigated the presence of gene abnormalities in the genes 9p21, 1p36, 14q32, 22q12, 5p15, 6p, 8q24, and 7p12 by the FISH method, and compared the results with NG, clinical stage, and prognosis. Results. In the higher NG group of epithelioid MPM, more gene amplifications [in particular 5p15 and 8q24 (MYC)] were observed, and clinical stage was more advanced.
2022-02-02T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2022
